This
week was a little uneventful. Heather and I took advantage of our February
break and filmed this week's video last week just to get a little ahead of
schedule. We're doing the Heads Up Challenge, a game made popular by Ellen Degeneres.
It was fun to film, but not quite as fun as the Not My Arms Challenge. If you
haven't seen that video already, make sure you check out my last blog post for
the link! Anyway, our channel seems to be growing! We now have 30 subscribers
and over 400 views. Many of my friends in school even come up and double
check with me to see if we're still planning on posting our Friday video. It's
cool to see our audience reacting to our videos outside of the internet and I
think that we currently have a small, but strong fan base developing. Heather
and I chatted earlier this week about our future plans for our channel. We plan
on doing some singing soon, possibly a mash up of two songs I arranged. We also
would like to do a Q&A, but we're hesitant because we are unsure if we'll
receive enough questions to make a solid video. Our new goal is 50 subscribers
so if you haven't subscribed already, what are you waiting for? Click the link
at the top of the right hand side column to get to our channel! Also, the link down
below is the link to this week's video! Enjoy! J

Week Three:Sharing and Subscribing
This
week, lots of things have happened. Our first video wasn't getting the number
of views we had hoped for and we didn't have any subscribers. Heather and I
decided it was time to start social media networking and we shared our video
with all of our friends on Twitter and Facebook. This was hugely successful and
our friends showed an immense amount of support. As of right now, we have 184
views, 10 likes, and 7 comments on our first video, not to mention all the other
comments we got from our friends on the social media networks. While most of
the comments are positive, we did have several negative ones.. They're all
comments from People can sometimes be mean on the internet, but you just have
to laugh it off, especially when you know that it's just your friends making
fun of you. After just two days, HDtv officially has 20 subscribers, which is
so close to our overall goal. Heather and I filmed two videos this week so we
could get ahead and it went well. We decided to edit separately this week
because there are two videos so each of us have one to edit. Today, we posted
our second video, the Not My Arms Challenge. We had a blast filming it and
laughed pretty much throughout the whole thing. I’ll leave the link down below!
Until next time!! Enjoy our newest video and subscribe!! J

Week 2: First Video
Our video is finally up!! It took us about a little over two
hours to edit it because there were a lot of special effects we had to
incorporate into our video. We wanted to make it as entertaining and legitimate
as possible. It was pretty simple, but we had difficulty trying to make the
transitions and the quality of the video itself look professional because we
were using an editing software that was already on my computer, instead of
buying one. We tried looking up the prices and reviews of editing software we
could buy, but they were very expensive, ergo we decided to stick with the
software I had, at least for this week. It took over an hour just to upload it
which is something I never thought would happen. Usually, you can upload things
instantly on the internet so it was weird waiting such a long period of time
for a video that was only about 4 and a half minutes long. Hopefully, we’ll get
some subscribers soon! This week, we are planning on filming another video and
hopefully coming up with an efficient way to get publicity to our channel. The link
to this week’s video is down below! Until next time! J

Week One: Building Stages
I'm
beyond excited for this project! This week, Heather and I filmed our first
video. We did the Get to Know Me Tag which is basically 10 questions you would
ask someone you're meeting for the first time. Since it was our first video, we
decided to introduce ourselves in this manner. It was an interesting process
because we filmed in one of the stairways in our high school. Hey! Don’t’
judge! It had really nice lighting… Anyway, we were interrupted a few times by
people walking down the stairs and it was funny to see each person's reaction
as they passed by. I’m pretty sure we have lots of footage of that happening
and us laughing our heads off because of it. Maybe we could do a video on all
the combined bloopers in the future..? We recently made a YouTube Channel and decided
to call it HDTV (Heather and Danielle Television), but we're still searching
for a better name, one that's more prominent. Heather and I are planning on editing
the video together this weekend and hopefully posting it by next Friday! I’ll
post the link to that video when it’s uploaded! Stay tuned for more to come! J
