Final Week: It's Not Goodbye, It's See You Later

Well here we are. The day that felt so far away is here. Our project is coming to a close. Last Tuesday, Heather and I filmed our final video. Basically, we thanked all of our viewers for supporting us and explained to them why we created our channel. We asked our audience to write in the comments section whether or not they wanted us to continue, even though the project is over. Surprisingly, we've received an overwhelmingly positive response. It seems as if people want us to keep going with our channel! We might start up again, but it won't be until after school and testing is done. Our last consensus of viewing comes to 92 subscribers with 3,461 views. This project has not only been fun, but it's also helped me grow as a person. While I'm usually pretty brave, this project has given me more courage that I never thought I could obtain. I also learned more about things such as time management skills and cooperation. Thank you for supporting our channel. Like always, click the link down below to check out our latest video. Here's a picture of Heather and I from this past weekend's prom that I went to.I'll see you guys soon! Bye! Mwah!!

Week 15:Slow Week

Nothing too exciting happened this week.. Heather and I came up with a video idea of ranting about things we dislike about high school. It's relate-able so I think it'll capture the audience's attention, but I have to say it's not one of my favorites. I edited this week, but it didn't take me too long since we didn't have very much footage as a result of limited 20 time. We're up to 84 subscribers and over 3,100 views!! How cool is that?!? Hopefully we'll come up with some good ideas because we only have 1 or two more videos left! This project has been so much fun and educational and it's weird that I almost don't want it to end! Check out the link down below to see us ranting about high school problems! Hopefully you'll get a laugh. I know I need it with all this AP testing.. Go subscribe while our channel is still in action! :) Can we hit 100 subscribers within the next two weeks?

Week 14: Musical Chaos

This week started off on a dull note and ended on an exciting one. Monday, the day we film, came and went. Heather and I still had no idea what to do for this week. Heather had suggested doing a cover, but I was a little skeptical because of all the recent hate we've been getting on our videos. We ended up doing a cover anyway and luckily, no one has been mean towards our singing voices yet (knock on wood). Turns out, I was worried for nothing! The video was soooo much fun to film!! It took us forever to get our final cut because we kept messing up on the harmonies. Our video has a special twist so make sure you check it out to find out why the video was so much fun to film. I was more excited for our audience to see this video than any other video. The audience responded just as we have expected and now we have 82 subscribers and almost 3,000 views!! I have no idea what we're filming next week, but hopefully it'll be as fun as the last one was! Click the link below to see our awesome video! Trust me you won't regret it!

Week 13: Q&A

Well, we only have about a month left of our 20% Project! That's so weird to me! We've been having so much fun with this project that it's sad to think we only have about 4 episodes left.. Who knows? Maybe we'll continue our channel after our project is completed! Anyway, this week we finally got to film our Q&A!! It was a lot of fun to interact with our audience through their questions. A lot of our questions were from the same person, but we were able to film a good size video! It was hard to cut questions from the video because we wanted to use everyone's questions, but the video would've been too long.. This week, we barely acquired any subscribers until Heather posted a picture of our new video on her Instagram. We received 6 subscribers in ONE day!! That was really cool and a great accomplishment for us! We have almost 2,500 views of our channel and 73 subscribers!! We also have some new "haters" commenting mean things on our video, but I just laugh at all the comments because they're stupid! I have no idea what we're filming next week, but I'm sure it'll be fun! Click the link below to watch our long awaited Q&A! Until next time!

Sick and Siblings

This week was kind of rough. I was sick on Monday and stayed from school for the first time since elementary school! Heather also had an interview at the end of the day on Monday so she had to leave early from school. We always film videos on Mondays during our 9th period English class when our English teacher gives us "20% Time" so this caused a little bit of a problem... There was a little bit of panic for a minute because our busy lives usually only allows us to film during English class, but we were able to get together Tuesday night at Heather's house to film a video. This week, we did the Siblings Tag, which was actually a last minutes decision. We were planning on doing the Q&A, but we still didn't have enough questions. Filming with my brothers was fun because they're crazy and always make us laugh! Hopefully, this week we'll film the Q&A! Check out our new video by clicking the link below! Here's an old picture of the four of us from 3 years ago! Did I mention 67 subscribers and over 2,100 views now? Eeep!! So exciting!

Week 11: On Our Way

This week, Heather and I filmed the Name That Body Part Challenge. Basically, we blindfolded one person while the other person took the blindfolded person's finger and put it on parts of their body. The blindfolded person tried to guess what part of the body it was. The video is only 5 minutes long, which is good since our goal for this week was to make a shorter video.  It was definitely very interesting to say the least.. It was kind of scary to have one of your senses take anyway and only rely on touch. This video was a bit of a last minute decision... We were hoping to film a Q&A, but we as we said in our video, we didn't have enough "Q's" to give enough "A's". Hopefully, by the time we film the video we'll have enough questions because we only have a few at the moment... Last week’s video was a hit for lots of people. We've gotten so much positive feedback from our audience, including some from our English teacher! Shout out to Mrs. Krieger for supporting our channel! I saw an old friend of mine at Bubble Tea and one of the first things she brought up was how much she loved our videos and how she watches them every week. It's so great to have such a support system on our channel! I feel like we have more "subscribers" than we actually do because a lot of people don't have Google accounts to subscribe. What really surprised me this week was that within 5 days we gained 9 subscribers!! And we are sooooo close to 2,000 views! Back in January, I wouldn't have thought our channel would do so well, but feel like we've accomplished a lot and have brought at little extra laughter to our friends' lives. The only question is how do we get people outside of our friends to subscribe to our channel? Check out our newest video with the link down below and I'll see you guys next time!!

Week10: More Special Guests

What a fun week! Heather and I filmed the Boyfriend Tag with our boyfriends this week. It was quite the experience because they are both such goofballs but it was a lot of fun to hang out with everyone. The picture below is of the four of us at our school dance this past winter. For the first part of the video, we asked the boys questions. I have to say that for the most part the boys knew the answers which surprised me. The second part of the video was the blindfolded makeup challenge. Chris did a good job with my makeup for the most part, but Matt wasn't as lucky with Heather's makeup. We had so much footage from this week; 40 minutes of it to be exact. I edited this week and managed to shrink the video down to 13 and half minutes. Editing was fun though because I kept laughing at how funny our boyfriends are. I guess we'll keep them around a little longer... Haha! We're up to 53 subscribers which is pretty cool if you ask me! Hopefully we'll continue to get more subscribers and views as we continue into April! I'm not sure what our plan is yet for this week, but I think we might do a shorter video because our past few have been on the longer side and we don't want to bore our audience... Click the link down below to check out our new video! Thanks for supporting our channel! Until next week!

Week 9: Whispering to Our New Audience

This week was interesting! We got a lot of positive feedback from our audience that we weren't really expecting. A LOT of people loved the Bean Boozled Challenge, partly because we had so many funny people in it from the cast. I love watching it because it always makes me laugh and now that Cinderella is over, it reminds me of what a good time I had with the cast overall. Since Heather and I were extremely busy this weekend (and yes we are always busy so don’t hate on me for always saying we are busy during the week) we almost didn't have an idea for this week. Luckily, at the beginning of the project, we had made a list of possible videos that we could make so we chose one off of the list. We did the Whisper Challenge and it was anything but quite! The challenge is to listen to music really loudly with headphones on and try to guess what the other person is saying. It was really funny because the person with the headphones on couldn't tell how loud they were being! Check out the link below to watch this video! Stay tuned for next week. We have a good video planned for next week that has something to do with Matt and Chris! And did I mention that we now have 48 subscribers and 1,207 views?!?!? Thanks for you continuous support!

Jelly Beans and Show Week and Editing, Oh My!

This week’s video was probably the most entertaining to film. Heather and I did the Bean Boozled Challenge, which is a game that has 10 of each color jelly bean, but two flavors of each. There are either really good flavors like Tutti Fruity and Berry Blue, or there are awful flavors, like Barf and Moldy Cheese. It’s a dangerous game of chance with your taste buds. Let me just say that the bad flavors were awful and I seemed to get all of the bad ones!! The stairs were really busy during the period we were filming I guess because we were interrupted 4 or 5 times… Heather and I decided it would be cool if we took this challenge to rehearsal and had our cast members try it out. It was hilarious to see our friends’ reactions and we even got our assistant director to do it! Because we had so much footage, taking the time to edit the video was hard since I’m so busy this week and it was my turn to edit. I hope our audience responds to this video positively and that we receive more viewers because we’ve kind of hit a wall when it comes to new subscribers… I’m not quite sure how to improve on it since social media networking isn’t doing the trick anymore! Make sure you check out the link down below!! Also, come see Cinderella!! Until next time!

Week 6: Busy Best Friends

Hello again! This week, Heather and I filmed the Best Friend Tag! It was a fun time discovering what each of us didn't know about the other person. Heather did the question research this week and found some pretty odd ones, like what's your best friend's ideal shirt. If we were keeping score, I definitely won.. :) We used Heather's father's Nikon Camera and the picture came out some much clearer. The only downside to her camera is that we can't flip the screen around so we can watch ourselves and make sure we're in the shot. Lucky, that camera fits on my tripod so I think we'll be using that from now on! Editing was a little rough this week since we were both very busy with our school musical. Heather struggled with finding a time to edit and we put up the video a little later on Friday. I'm a little nervous because next week we have rehearsal every day so I'll barely have five minutes to eat food! Unlike most weeks, we have our video planned well in advance. I won't give it away, but let's just say we'll be eating something in our next video. Make sure you click the link below to check out our Best Friend Tag Video and  discover the background behind the picture below! Until next time!

Week Five: Humming and Rushing

This week was busy! Heather and I have been occupied with school work and the musical at our high school. This made everything feel a little bit rushed, but it ended up working out in the end. We filmed the Humming Challenge with Brian and Lydia on Monday. We did it 9th period with shortened periods because of a two hour delay so we were pretty pressed for time.. Filming it felt rushed and not as fun as it usually is because I was stressed about finishing the video before time was up. It was my turn to edit this week and boy did I have a blast with that. The video was actually a lot funnier than I thought it would be! Brian made the video... Well...  Let’s just say he made it a bit more...interesting.. And we even had another special guest, but you'll have to watch the video in order to find out who it is! I'll leave the link down below! Anyway, the editing process still takes a while, but it's becoming a lot more natural since I know what I'm doing now. We still haven't been able to sit down and figure out the details, but Heather and I are going to try to have our next video as a mash up followed by more special guests in the next week! Stay tuned for more videos and posts! HDtv now has a Twitter account so follow us at @hhdztv ! And if you haven't already, go subscribe to our channel!! I mean seriously, if you haven't already, what are you doing with your life? Until next time :)

Week Four: Positive Progression

This week was a little uneventful. Heather and I took advantage of our February break and filmed this week's video last week just to get a little ahead of schedule. We're doing the Heads Up Challenge, a game made popular by Ellen Degeneres. It was fun to film, but not quite as fun as the Not My Arms Challenge. If you haven't seen that video already, make sure you check out my last blog post for the link! Anyway, our channel seems to be growing! We now have 30 subscribers and over 400 views. Many of my friends in school even come up and double check with me to see if we're still planning on posting our Friday video. It's cool to see our audience reacting to our videos outside of the internet and I think that we currently have a small, but strong fan base developing. Heather and I chatted earlier this week about our future plans for our channel. We plan on doing some singing soon, possibly a mash up of two songs I arranged. We also would like to do a Q&A, but we're hesitant because we are unsure if we'll receive enough questions to make a solid video. Our new goal is 50 subscribers so if you haven't subscribed already, what are you waiting for? Click the link at the top of the right hand side column to get to our channel! Also, the link down below is the link to this week's video! Enjoy! J

Week Three:Sharing and Subscribing

This week, lots of things have happened. Our first video wasn't getting the number of views we had hoped for and we didn't have any subscribers. Heather and I decided it was time to start social media networking and we shared our video with all of our friends on Twitter and Facebook. This was hugely successful and our friends showed an immense amount of support. As of right now, we have 184 views, 10 likes, and 7 comments on our first video, not to mention all the other comments we got from our friends on the social media networks. While most of the comments are positive, we did have several negative ones.. They're all comments from People can sometimes be mean on the internet, but you just have to laugh it off, especially when you know that it's just your friends making fun of you. After just two days, HDtv officially has 20 subscribers, which is so close to our overall goal. Heather and I filmed two videos this week so we could get ahead and it went well. We decided to edit separately this week because there are two videos so each of us have one to edit. Today, we posted our second video, the Not My Arms Challenge. We had a blast filming it and laughed pretty much throughout the whole thing. I’ll leave the link down below! Until next time!! Enjoy our newest video and subscribe!! J

Week 2: First Video

Our video is finally up!! It took us about a little over two hours to edit it because there were a lot of special effects we had to incorporate into our video. We wanted to make it as entertaining and legitimate as possible. It was pretty simple, but we had difficulty trying to make the transitions and the quality of the video itself look professional because we were using an editing software that was already on my computer, instead of buying one. We tried looking up the prices and reviews of editing software we could buy, but they were very expensive, ergo we decided to stick with the software I had, at least for this week. It took over an hour just to upload it which is something I never thought would happen. Usually, you can upload things instantly on the internet so it was weird waiting such a long period of time for a video that was only about 4 and a half minutes long. Hopefully, we’ll get some subscribers soon! This week, we are planning on filming another video and hopefully coming up with an efficient way to get publicity to our channel. The link to this week’s video is down below! Until next time! J

Week One: Building Stages

I'm beyond excited for this project! This week, Heather and I filmed our first video. We did the Get to Know Me Tag which is basically 10 questions you would ask someone you're meeting for the first time. Since it was our first video, we decided to introduce ourselves in this manner. It was an interesting process because we filmed in one of the stairways in our high school. Hey! Don’t’ judge! It had really nice lighting… Anyway, we were interrupted a few times by people walking down the stairs and it was funny to see each person's reaction as they passed by. I’m pretty sure we have lots of footage of that happening and us laughing our heads off because of it. Maybe we could do a video on all the combined bloopers in the future..?  We recently made a YouTube Channel and decided to call it HDTV (Heather and Danielle Television), but we're still searching for a better name, one that's more prominent. Heather and I are planning on editing the video together this weekend and hopefully posting it by next Friday! I’ll post the link to that video when it’s uploaded! Stay tuned for more to come! J
